MILWAUKEE (March 12, 2020) – Bayshore is excited to announce further progress in its redevelopment project for recreating the destination. As part of the improvement plan, starting Monday, March 16th access to the interior mall and Rotunda areas will be closed to the public. Mall signage was placed on all access doors during the last month to notify the public about the closing.
Later this Spring, the demolition of the original enclosed mall will make way for a horizontal mixed-use development featuring a hotel, multi-family residential units, and vibrant senior housing. The Rotunda will be transformed into a lively communal space for indoor entertainment with access to the Lydell Parking Garage.
As part of the plan, Bayshore retailers who recently relocated or are in transition include:
AVERSA for HER, Milwaukee’s professional and luxurious fashion retailer, is now open in its temporary location near California Pizza Kitchen. They will transition to their new and expanded upscale boutique located next to Barnes & Noble later this year.
Magical Nails will be relocating to its new salon next to Pandora and is scheduled to open on March 18th.
Bayshore’s Town Square community space redevelopment began in January and is well underway with site and infrastructure improvements. The central green space is being raised to provide greater openness and connectivity as a four-season destination offering live entertainment and experiences for the whole family.
Bayshore’s redevelopment is projected to be complete by the end of 2020. The newly envisioned Bayshore will feature unique beautification elements, more local retailers and restaurants, upgraded green space to host year-round entertainment and activities, and land parcels for an upscale/select-service hotel and new residential facilities to be built.
